Blooming marvelous! Goodmans green fingers get award nomination at Gloucester Business Park
19 May 2009
Gloucester Business Park, managed by international property group Goodman, has been nominated for one of Europe's leading accolades in the landscape industry.
Now in its 33rd year, the annual prestigious BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) National Landscape Awards pay tribute to outstanding professionalism and skill in the landscape industry. Gloucester Business Park has been nominated in the Grounds Maintenance and Private Business category, one of 21 in the competition.
Gloucester Business Park is one of the most established business parks in the UK. Contributing to its success are the natural surroundings and extensive landscaping maintained by a team from Reliance Landscapes. The 240 acre site offers a relaxing environment for its customers and visitors, featuring, walkways, water features, and seating areas offering striking views of the surrounding Cotswolds, combined with a natural environment which is truly outstanding.
James Raven, Development Director of Goodman's UK Business Parks, said: "We pride ourselves on offering our customers high quality working environments in unique settings, which is why we are one of the world's leading owner, developer and manager of industrial property and business space. Gloucester Business Park is a prime example of how all the amenities a business community could need can be combined within natural surroundings. Its appeal has attracted leading names such as Gloucester Primary Care Trust, Fortis Insurance, Detica and Message Labs now part of Symantec. We hope Gloucester Business Park will continue its success and join the select few that can claim this prestigious accolade."
The shortlist for the Awards will be confirmed in September with this year's winners announced at a glittering awards ceremony on 4th December 2009 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Consistent with Goodman's track record of creating premium business parks, the company has already won BALI Awards at three other sites in the UK. Gloucester is one of Goodman's most established mixed use business parks in the country, and also one of the fastest growing. Its low density site offers freehold and flexible lease terms for high quality offices, logistics and distribution warehousing, plus a host of amenities including a 24-hour Tesco supermarket, the Gloucestershire Health and Raquets Club, a Premier Travel Inn and the Whittle Inn pub and restaurant. Close to the M5 and A417, it is ideally positioned for both commuters and freight. The thriving towns of Gloucester and Cheltenham are close by and frequent local bus services that serve the local towns stop outside the Park.
Goodman has delivered superior business space solutions for blue-chip customers including Cadbury Schweppes, GMAC, T-Mobile, Oxfam and NATS, amongst others. In October 2008, Goodman scooped two awards at Property Week's 2008 Office Development Awards, winning the "Best overall development outside central London" and "Best bespoke development outside central London" categories.
