Gloucester Business Park wins national landscaping award

10 December 2009

International property group Goodman has scooped a national landscaping award for Gloucester Business Park at the prestigious British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI).

Now in its 33rd year, the annual prestigious BALI National Landscape Awards pay tribute to outstanding professionalism and skill in the landscape industry. The awards were presented by Star of BBC’s Rogue Traders and TV Personality Matt Allwright at a glittering ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel in London this week.

Gloucester Business Park, which is owned, developed and managed by Goodman, triumphed in the Grounds Maintenance for Business and Private Grounds category alongside its contract landscapers Reliance Landscaping. An expert judging panel was so impressed with the extensive open spaces at the site that they declared: “to come to work in the well presented and excellently maintained business park must be an absolute pleasure. Landscapes are pristine and completely weed free”.

James Raven, Development Director of Goodman’s UK Business Parks, said: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious national accolade from BALI which is a testament to our success in creating quality business communities within natural surroundings.  This is why we are one of the world’s leading owners, developers and managers of industrial property and business space.”

Located between Gloucester and Cheltenham, Gloucester Business Park is easily accessible for both business travel and commuting. The park offers Grade A office space alongside the M5 and A417 dual carriageway, and park provides fast access to destinations in the Midlands, North, Wales, South West and South East.

Goodman also won a national award in the Grounds Maintenance on Multiple Sites category and was recognised in the Land Renewal and Regeneration Scheme category for the redevelopment of Frank Banfield Park by Frost Landscape in association with The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
